Delete in the app
The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the Carder mobile app.
- Open the Carder app and sign in
- Go to the Settings tab
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm when prompted
Your account is deactivated immediately and your data is deleted within 30 days, subject to the retention exceptions below.
Delete by email
If you cannot access the app or prefer to email us, send a deletion request to privacy@carder.uk from the email address associated with your Carder account.
Include:
- The email address on your Carder account
- The subject line "Delete my account"
- Any additional context if you have multiple accounts or if the request is being made on behalf of someone else

When your account is deleted, the following data is removed from our systems:
- Your name, email address, profile photo, and bio
- Your delivery addresses saved in settings
- Your Pokémon TCG collection data (owned cards, quantities, condition grades)
- Your collection and marketplace settings and preferences
- Your active listings (removed from the marketplace)
- Your listing photos stored on Cloudflare R2
- Your push notification tokens
What we must retain
Some data must be kept even after account deletion because of legal obligations and to protect other users' consumer rights. This is set out in full in our Privacy Policy.
- Transaction records — retained for 7 years from the date of each transaction, as required by HMRC under UK tax law
- Reviews you have left for sellers — permanent, but attributed to "Former User" instead of your display name
- Opening verification videos tied to a specific order — automatically deleted 90 days after that order is completed or resolved
Timeline
- Immediately — your account is deactivated, active listings are removed from the marketplace, and you can no longer sign in
- Within 30 days — your personal data is deleted from our production systems (subject to the retention exceptions above)
- Backup rotation — data may persist in encrypted backups for a further short period before those backups are rotated out
